On Friday morning, the first legalweb community meeting took place, marking the announcement of the results for this year’s „Law Firm of the Future“ certification by legalweb, alongside the unveiling of our platform’s upcoming plans. These plans are quite significant, and I am very pleased to share them with you through this channel as well.

legalweb will launch a new international section called „International,“ focusing on news and developments in Czech law, the legal profession, and business. It will be written in English, and occasionally in other languages.

In the first quarter of next year, we will follow up by launching another website, legalwebSK, written in Slovak and primarily focused on Slovak legislation and the legal market. Next year will be crucial for Slovak law, as a new Civil Code is expected to come into effect, and our eastern neighbors also face important elections. legalweb intends to be there—partly because Slovakia is becoming increasingly attractive to many Czechs, and vice versa, the Czech Republic holds great interest for Slovaks.

The third step will be the launch of a standalone website, legalwebINTernational, building upon the aforementioned International section of legalweb.cz. Over time, however, it will pursue broader ambitions and target other countries beyond the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

We will also continue to expand the Czech version of legalweb. The biggest upcoming feature will be the creation of corporate profiles, where we will aggregate current articles, potential job openings, and other updates about specific firms on a single page. This will allow you to share and permanently link to them on your own websites and other communication channels.

Furthermore, we will advance our efforts to become a hub for a wider range of legal and business podcasts. To complement our current lineup—“Právo k Ranní Kávě“ (Law for Morning Coffee) by PRK Partners or „Troubení na Schodech“ (Blowing the Horn on the Stairs) by legalweb—we will introduce, for instance, the P20-PSJ podcast. Despite being about case law, it is immensely entertaining and is hosted by Mr. Porod and Mr. Kříž from the Kocián Šolc Balaštík law firm.

We are also preparing interesting projects with the expert appraisal firm EqSA and D.A.S. by Generali Česká pojišťovna. We plan a variety of events, both small and large, as well as a vote for the Legal Book of the Year.

legalweb is also pleased to announce its partnership with the „Neviditelní“ (The Invisibles) project, alongside our vital collaboration with the online tool Divorcio. These initiatives are also expected to deliver tangible results.

We have even more plans in store, so please stay tuned and keep following us!
